As usual, I've been listening to passenger gossip. And as usual, they've been gossiping about other passengers. There was a tale told about a lady who went missing whilst on tour. Apparently she was very rich and the idea got about that she might have been kidnapped! Another of the passengers in the tour group was an ex military officer, who suddenly decided to take charge of the situation. "Leave it to me", he said. "I know what to do." And then he started off down the street, with other passengers following. It was at that moment that the missing passenger re-appeared, having been shopping!
There was also the news of a fracas in the gym early this morning. The two passengers involved nearly came to fisticiffs, in which case security would have been called. As it happens, the husband of one the two ladies got between them to calm things down. The question now is:- what happens next time they bump into each other on the ship?
Peter's classes continue and areas popular as ever, with queues of passengers waiting for us to finish getting the room ready. This came to the attention of the Captain today, which could be a good thing, as it sort of highlights how popular the classes are. But it could also be considered a bad thing, as if we deliberately keeping people waiting. we've not heard anything since, so it must be OK.
Tomorrow we'll arrive at Mindelo. I wonder how much it has changed since I last visited 3 years ago?
