It was the night before travel, and all through the house
Nothing was stirring, not even a mouse..............
Well....... Not quite true, the tumble dryer is just finishing up, and Peter is heavy breathing whilst he concentrates on some television reviews, but it's all very calm here. Which is unusual. Normally we're still flitting around the house packing up the last items, making last checks and generally feeling like we are not prepared.
This time we are prepared. All the lists are ticked off, all the little jobs have been done, everything is packed and we are feeling relaxed and in control.
Which can only mean that just as we reach Tilbury tomorrow, we'll realise we've forgotten several important items, and have a major, expensive melt down as we find a way to replace them.
Nothing ever changes
We are travelling tomorrow, a day early, but this is just so that we can visit family on the way. We'll stop in a Travelodge tomorrow night, and boarding should start about 12.30 on Sunday. All plain sailing.......... Fingers crossed.
And where are we off to? Well.......... We are going to join CMV's Magellan (A ship that I really like), for the start of a six week cruise which includes the Cape Verde islands, the Amazon, the Caribbean and the Azores. FANTASTIC!
So although the house may be quiet, I'm all excited and really, really looking forward to another adventure. It's gonna be awesome.
